Treinspoor honestly communicates the terroir of the almost ancient bushvine from where it comes and the story of its namesake - the rustic railway line that runs alongside it. Distinctly Tinta Barocca notes of rosemary, ripe cherries and a spiced nose meet feminine florals on the palate.
50% whole bunch and 50% destemmed grapes are fermented for 25 - 30 days prior to old basket pressing. After 11 months on the lees, the wine is racked to another concrete tank for an additional month to settle clean prior to bottling.
